Laser snoring treatment is most effective for carefully selected patients after a comprehensive airway evaluation. While it can significantly reduce snoring for many individuals, it is not a replacement for treatment of moderate or severe obstructive sleep apnea when that condition is present.

The tonsils contain natural crevices called crypts where bacteria, food particles, and debris can accumulate. For some patients, this buildup contributes to chronic bad breath, recurring tonsil stones (tonsilloliths), irritation, and inflammation.



Laser tonsillar decontamination uses the DEKA CO₂ laser to gently smooth and disinfect the surface of the tonsils while reducing the depth of the crypts where debris collects.
